We are delighted to announce that Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall has been awarded £61,000 as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund, to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure that we have a sustainable future.
Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall is one of 588 cultural and creative organisations across the country to have received urgently needed support and we are hugely grateful to Arts Council England, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and HM Treasury for the grant awarded to us.
Culture is an essential part of life across the country, helping to support people’s wellbeing through creativity and self-expression, bringing communities together and fuelling our world-class creative industries. These awards build on the UK Government’s commitment to be there for culture in every part of the country.
We know that Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall has held a very special place in the hearts of the local community and visitors to the town for over 100 years. These crucial funds will allow us to plan a varied programme of events between December and March 2021 which will not only entertain our audiences but also support performers and our partners working in the arts industry.
We will be announcing further details shortly and look forward to safely reopening the doors of Jubilee Hall to you later this year.
