Join this enigmatic duo of two dynamic musicians for a concert of virtuosic music for violin and piano on the Suffolk coast.

French Violinist Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux was a prize-winner in the YCAT and Concert Artists Guild (New York) International Auditions and a Classic FM 2022 Rising Star. Recent highlights include appearances at Wigmore Hall, a BBC Prom with the dynamic 12 Ensemble, and a performance of the Franck Piano Quintet at the Gstaadt Festival with Alina Ibragimova, Lawrence Power, Sol Gabetta and Bertrand Chamayou. Her debut album for Champs Hill records of music for solo violin is due for release later this year.

Pianist Joseph Havlat is an Australian musician who studied at the Royal Academy, who is creating an impressive career as both pianist and composer. Performing regularly with chamber groups worldwide and with the LSO percussion ensemble and Ensemble x.y.

They open this lunchtime concert with a performance of George Enescu’s Impromptu Concertant, a short but intense evocation of Enescu’s beloved homeland, Romania. This is followed by Schubert’s Fantasy for violin and piano and selections from the Divertimento of Stravinsky’s The Fairy’s Kiss.

*The Salomé Quartet is no longer able to perform in this concert due to illness. Britten Pears Arts is grateful to Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux & Joseph Havlat for stepping in.

Each Friday from January to March we welcome some of the best young ensembles from the UK and abroad to Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall for Britten Pears Arts’ Friday Lunchtime Concert series.
