Dopey Monkey Situational Soundtrack (50)

Experience the enigmatic combination of tuba, euphonium and percussion in the second of our much-loved concerts by the sea for 2023.

Dopey Monkey are known for their diverse creative output, with a mix of backgrounds in jazz, folk, classical, and experimental music.

This lunchtime they present a brand new programme, composed collaboratively and developed during their residency at Snape Maltings. They will draw on their eclectic mix of influences to create a soundtrack for daily life inspired by actions, activities, spaces and places. The trio use material from the everyday sounds and often overlooked noise that exists all around us, blended with a mix of acoustic performance and electronic manipulation.

Each Friday from January to March we welcome some of the best young ensembles from the UK and abroad to Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall for Britten Pears Arts’ Friday Lunchtime Concert series.
