Gershwin’s quintessential example of classical-jazz fusion, the Three Preludes, with this trailblazing saxophone trio.A dynamic and lively programme surrounds the Gershwin, including a high-energy fast-paced opening work; Funken (Sparks), which serves to ignite the whole concert. We go on to hear Brahms-esque music by Volkmar Andreae and close the performance with de Falla’s passionate Spanish Dance, drawing from Andalusian Flamenco traditions.A-Delta Trio is a vibrant Basel-based saxophone ensemble exploring repertoire from Bach to contemporary commissions.
