One of the fastest-rising stars on the comedy club circuit, Gerry K’s sharp, warm, anecdotal style is enriched by a unique perspective.  London-born but growing up as a rare black face in an Essex village, he revels in the joys and quirks of country life that will be familiar to us all.  His hilarious take on life in rural England are original, refreshingly honest insights from outsider but also surprisingly universal, confounding expectations and delighting an incredible range of audiences and army of new-found fans. He has played all the major comedy clubs in the country – The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Komedia –  scooping up accolades (The Comedy Store’s ‘King Gong’, Metrolife Comedy Newcomer, and The Comedy Café’s Best Newcomer) along the way.

As is to be expected from our comedy nights, the evening features the best of local comedians, cameos from rising stars, and for the first time, a chance for Aldeburgh talent to shine with five-minute sets from some of the participants in our first ever comedy course taking their first steps on the comedy ladder.  Gerry K entered the world of stand-up as the result of a dare – could you do the same?
