The Big Help Out – Celebrating King Charles III Coronation
As part of a weekend of celebrations to mark King Charles’ coronation, a national volunteering initiative has been announced and we would be delighted to hear from volunteers who would like to help us organise a wonderful community event in Aldeburgh.
On Monday 8th May, people up and down the country will roll up their sleeves and do their bit, creating a legacy of better-connected communities long beyond the Coronation itself. Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall will be one of many thousands of local and national charities signing up to make ‘The Big Help Out’ the start of the biggest volunteering effort in our country’s history.
We are looking for a team of enthusiastic volunteers who can support us in laying on a perfectly royal coronation afternoon tea, with particular expertise in the following areas:
- Graphic design
- Interior design
- Event management
- Volunteer Management
- Audio Visual
- Catering
Whether it’s support in the lead up to the event, serving guests on the day, or helping with the clear up, we would love to hear from folk who have the time and skills to help create a memorable occasion.
If you would like to get involved please email Ann Barkway at manager@aldeburghjubileehall.co.uk with details of how you can help support this historic event.
Please note the first Coronation planning meeting is taking place at Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall, 10am on Thursday 16th March.
We look forward to hearing from you!
