The Paddington Trio pairs the intricate craftmanship of Lotta Wennäkoski’s Päärme with the grandeur of Beethoven’s “Archduke” Trio.

Finnish for “Hem”, Päärme is a creative exploration of craftsmanship in music. Inspired by sewing, Wennäkoski stitches together a delicate soundworld of shimmering pulses and playful canons. It is paired with Beethoven’s noble “Archduke” Trio.

The Paddington Trio has been recognised in international competitions and live performances for their fresh interpretations and exuberant energy. Like Paddington Bear – after whom the trio takes its name – Finnish violinist Tuulia Hero, Irish cellist Patrick Moriarty and American pianist Stephanie Tang have made London their home and emerged as an ensemble of an entirely unique and lasting entity. The trio is celebrated for its close and energetic communication, insightful and imaginative programming as well as its highly refined ensemble playing.

Paddington Trio are the recipients of the Richard and Gillie Cave Bursary.
