Meet Rick and Jane, brought together, seemingly, by chance. Are they going to spend an afternoon contemplating possible mutual seduction, or, as layers of plot peel away, will the murky secrets of their pasts reveal something far darker? The relentless tension smacks of film noir with roles that could have starred Bogey and Bacall. But this is London, not Hollywood, and the jeopardy is real, with prey and predator, and us, not knowing which is which until the very last moment. Are they killing time, or is it time for a killing? A gripping, brilliantly crafted finale to the ACT 2022 summer season.
The Summer Theatre By The Sea is presented by Aldeburgh Classic Theatre.
