Jessie Montgomery Strum (8)Celebrate the start of your musical year with the renowned Kleio Quartet, in the first of our Friday Lunchtime Concerts for 2023.

The Kleio Quartet welcomes in the New Year with Beethoven’s third quartet, complemented by Jessie Montgomery’s Strum. Drawing on American folk idioms and the spirit of dance and movement, Strum has a kind of narrative that begins with fleeting nostalgia and transforms into ecstatic celebration.

The Kleio Quartet was formed at the Seiji Ozawa International Chamber Academy in 2019 and has since performed in major international venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Victoria Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, and others across Europe.

Each Friday from January to March we welcome some of the best young ensembles from the UK and abroad to Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall for Britten Pears Arts’ Friday Lunchtime Concert series.
