Beethoven Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus (6’)
Beethoven Rondino for wind octet (08’)
Beethoven Piano Concerto No.5 ‘Emperor’ (45’)

Prometheus Orchestra
Nathan Williamson piano
Matthew Andrews conductor

Prometheus Orchestra concludes its cycle of the complete Beethoven Piano Concertos with the magnificent ‘Emperor’ concerto no 5.  Nathan Williamson, the acclaimed soloist for concertos 1-4 which he performed over one weekend in February 2020, returns to finish the series.

Sadly, Edmond Fivet, PO’s conductor and founder, died just a few months ago. Edmond conceived and set up this project and his energy and leadership will be greatly missed.  The orchestra welcomes Matthew Andrews to conduct this astonishing piece in an all-Beethoven programme. The concert is, of course, dedicated to the memory of Edmond Fivet.
